The Man Who Planted Trees (short film)

Jean Giono, a prominent French writer from the Provençal region, is the author of this moving and poetic narrative, which was written in 1953. In 1987, a Canadian illustrator of French ancestry named Frédérick Back developed an animated video for Radio-Canada (Channel CBC de France). Philippe Noiret's performance as an actor features a particularly memorable tone of voice.

Even though it is a relatively lengthy short video, you could watch it first with subtitles in French and then watch it again with subtitles in English. It is so beautiful.

Enjoy this movie my friends.
